Default PCM tune question

when you guys install your mail order tunes(pcmforless, etc.) with your new parts, does the pcm need time to re-learn? or does it run great right off the bat?

mine is still in the mail so i dunno for sure but i think you feel a big boost in power when first get it and it steadily gets better for the first 50 miles and then it levels off. maybe someone will chime in and confirm

I felt a noticeable increase as soon as I installed it, and it got better for the first few hundred miles. It seemed to get even better 3k miles later when I finally got the crank learned

some might idle a tad high at first or even a little low. after you drive it for a few minutes it iwll be fine. they get better with more miles on them to.

It seemed to? Maybe I'm just crazy. When I first put in in, I didn't get the ses light, but after swapping with a friend for the third time, it came on. After I got the crank relearned it seemed to be a little more responsive, and shift better.

As far as running wierd when first installed, with the stock cam I had no problems, after I swapped cams, I had to do an idle relearn.
