PCM reflash to take out the lockup convertor
#21
Too bad GM didnt put the 6.0 LQ4/9 in anything with a regular cab other than a 3/4 ton trucks from 1999-2007.
Guys who wanted better towing in a 1/2 ton chassis had to wait til 2004 with for the B4V VHO 2wd ecsb Lq9 truck. (the HEAVY 2001 C3 & 2002-06 Sierra Denali's excluded).
I sure wish GM offered a rcsb SS Silverado, I would be driving 1.
If you are going to run out of lockup, run the largest cooler you can.

I say only 364 cubes because it relates to the vehicle it's in. The 2500HD is a 9200GVWR truck. In past models that was a 3500 series truck with a single rear wheel and was most commonly built with either a diesel or a 7.4L. 364 cubes takes a bit more rev's naturally to make up for not being a 454 or a 395 diesel with a turbo. I fully agree with you on the 6.0L and regular cab issue. I'd preferr that the LQ9 was an option when I bought my truck.
