Patriot performance dual spring kit

So.....I'm thinking here....the springs I have sitting here are the PAC 1218s good to .600 lift. My heads flow good up to .650. I would like to use the Pat G torque cam aka 224/228 .637/.639 110LSA (+0), this is on LSK lobes I believe.

Anyways, so I would need to step up to a spring that can handle this. Do I need to get the .650 kit or the xtreme .660 kit? Also, does anything special need to be done to my heads to accept the springs seats/seals that come with the kit?

Finally, what is this reddish oil that is one my valve stems (heads came that way)? I'm assuming your supposed to assemble the heads with the valve stems lubed up.

Thanks.

yes you will need new springs if those springs are only rated at .600 and your cam lift is higher than that

dual springs will be your new best friend :)

Also check out the PRC spring kit from TSP. No head modifications are needed.

the patriot kit seems to be cheaper.

Also when I bought the heads, they specifically asked me @ TSP if I was using beehives or dual springs....like it makes a difference in some aspect of machining the surface for the seats???

patriot dual extremes are a great spring and are good to .660 lift. you need a good dual spring. patriots are by far the cheapest. i think i paid $270 for the extreme version. plus you get ti seats, retainers, locks, and valve seals. complete kit.
