I didnt notice until just today you have an SS and a hemi truck,do you refere to the Dodge as the "HEMI" ?
I can see by your signature the SS stomps the "hemi".Since you own both would you tell us what you like and dislike about both pros/cons comparisons, strong points ,weak points, fuel mileage ect. thanks

sure thing gonzo

first off, as we all know, GM styling and design is supreme. the hemi gets lots of looks, but nothing compared the SS. with the SS, i get people wanting me to stop and let them look at it. there are still people that tell me they have never seen a truck like that, and its the best looking truck they have ever seen.

they both get equally shitty gas mileage. about 12-14 mpg. the SS is of course AWD which i love, but the Hemi can always do some sweet burnouts, which the SS cant.

the ride in the Hemi in my opinion is better. i like riding up high. the dodge hemi looks good riding up a bit higher. of course the SS would look like crap up high, but oh well. there is just something about getting in the drivers seat of the hemi and cruising that i enjoy more than the SS.

the interior on the hemi is for looks compared to the SS. although, i think the hemis interior is more practical and convienent. the ss easily surpases the hemis interior

as far as performance goes......the #'s do the talking. there is not much of an aftermarket for the hemis yet either, and i dont think there will be much of one with the difficulty for tuning these and other things.

all in all, they are both kick *** trucks, but the SS still gets that dammmmmnnnn what is that badass truck look way more than the hemi, and it has good performance to back it up. everybody has a hemi nowadays.(even though most of them look horrible) a little work on a hemi and it can be a nice truck though too. i.e. get rid of that generic non functional bolted on scoop hood. replace with functional goodhood. lift the front end 2 inches to balance the trucks height out and make it even. debadged those ridicouloue red HEMI SPORT emblems. replace ugly billet gas tank cover with standerd cover. dual exhaust exiting out the back, A.R.E bed lid, body kit, valances, etc etc

Now if you had a VHO your ET would be even quicker, you think the hemi power is overated? or GM under?

the hemi marketing scheme definatly overrates the power. its still decent, pulling a quad cab 4 door at 15.6, but still overrated. i would day the SS power is overated as well though, but a few decent bolt ons will fix that.

Seems stock SS dynos 280ish hemi QC 250-260 range.I know the VHO would punch out more than the SS with the lighter dragging powertrain.
