Default Paging BenKey

Just checking to see if you had any problems when you changed the oil pump on your engine? I remember you saying you were going to replace it on your next cam swap.

ah yes the most fun swap in the world... I hated that #@!*'n project The only easy way to do it really is drop the oil pan a bit or find somebody with small hands

No problems. It was a pain to get the internal gears lined up with the crank. You do need to drop the pan about a 1/2". The biggest thing is to not bolt the pump to the block until after you have the pickup tube seated and tightened to the pump, then bolt down. You're not 100% sure if it's seated properly if you try to bolt down first. And, of course dealing with handling that little bolt in fear of dropping it in the pan.

Did that and a Rollmaster double chain. That was almost too easy.

Richard - thanks for the use of words.

BenKey, did you have a question posted by SportTruck magazine in October? I just got a chance to look through that mag, and noticed the name. The guy that replyed to you was an ***.
Anyway, just curious if that was you.

That was me. I originally sent the question in like, June or so. They ran it and responded to it twice. It was the November issue, right? They skipped a Month and I think, ran it again in the January issue with a different response. The first response was pretty sarcastic. The second one was a little better, almost if they had actaully researched the possibility of conducting the comparison, but who knows?

I saw the Oct question, but missed the Jan one. I'll go take a look right now.
