Default Pacesetter LTs hit front D-shaft

Has anyone had any issues with their long tubes hitting the front diff yoke? Has anyone had any issues with the number 3 and 5 cylinder plug wires being really close to the header? BTW these are brand new Pacesetter, not old style. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!

Don't know about the driveshaft, but my plug wires were touching and I have had them on there now for a little while and they just sort of self clear. I really wouldn't worry about it if I were you. If it bothers you then you could put some of that exhaust wrap on there if you want, but I think that looks a little wierd.

the wires touching isn't too big of a deal, you can get the sleeves for them if you want, as for the front driveshaft - we had no issues with white1's truck, I've heard of people having to make a minor adjustment sometimes, but that was only one or two people, unless you happened to find an old stock pair.

plug wires will be fine.

my pacesetters don't hit my front driveshaft. it's close, but it clears. does it hit even when you have the headers tightened down? or only when trying to install? if it's upon installation, try going the opposite way (install from the bottom, or from the top). if it's when the header is tightened down, well looks like you need to break out your largest rubber mallet.

His hit when the headers were in and tightened down. He ended up giving them a few whacks and it clears by a hair now, it was the front yoke hitting them not the d shaft. Ive heard of people grinding down the front yoke too.

Its a good thing we got it fixed and the shaft back in, I got my truck stuck in his yard that night and he had to pull me out, ****** snow.

I had problems with my plug wires touching so I went out and got soem ls1 plug wires, they have more of a bend at the base, but I think in order to use them, your truck has to the coils that are the correct distance from the plug...I think there are two different types of coils that came with my year of truck and I happened to get lucky, maybe someone else can chime in.

Mine hit the front yoke, not by much but if I turned the shaft it would hit. I had to take a small hammer and put a dent in the headers so it would not create a problem.

I sounds like it has to be bent, mine has just enough room for everything to turn ok. At least half an inch.

I thought mine didn't rub on the front driveshaft but I crawled under there the other day and you can see a ring around the driveshaft where the y-pipe has rubbed the rust off lol. And as far as sparkplugs, one boot on the drivers side touches the header but I haven't had any problem with it, the corner just melted a bit.
