yea its a load, what happens when the after-market industry get pushed out of business because there is no room to move in the inspections and stuff. that will be the day

 

My friend has the pacesetters on his truck and it sound awesome which is the reason i am going to by some from Texas Speed and Performance along with the Off Road Y pipe.. They are better than most..

 

You are required to have cats on every vehicle manufactured from like 1983. Even in College Station you are required to have cats. They don't do emissions testing in College Station, just a visual inspection....so if the inspector is too lazy to get on his hands and knees, he'll probably never know that you don't have them. Just because they don't perform emissions testing doesn't mean the standard doesn't exist.

In my county, Montgomery county, they do emissions testing, but only on vehicles that are so many years old(10 years old I think?). Otherwise, they just plug into the OBDII port and make sure all systems are in the "ready" state....even if no codes are present, all systems must be in the "ready" state.

 

i see, im pretty sure here in the ft country they do emissions...alot of people get the cats and just bore them out clean so they have the look without restriction but a set of high flow cats work pretty well i understand if you MUST have them, but you could always find a crooked inspector somewhere

 

gains from cat removal is only .1 so IMO removing the cats is not worth it, they flow fine and will save some trees somewhere, getting a cated pipe from the collectors to the cat back is the problem...

question...what is the flange diameter and bolt pattern where it hooks onto cat back system...will a after market catback system hook right up to the ory pipe or do you need to change out the connection....

 

They dont have flanges on the collectors. The Y pipe (off road Y) is a slip fit design that just slips on the collectors.

 

yes, an aftermarket cat back will bolt right up, it's a 2 bolt flange, don't know any deminsions
