Default P0327 Code Help

Ok first got this code about 2 months ago I pulled the intake and replaced both knock sensors. I also did The RTV dam fix in acordance with GM's TSB about this issue.... The rear sensor was rusted and crusty on the outside... The front one looked to be in good shape.

P0327 says Knock Sensor #1 circut Low Input. At the time I did the repair the parts dept was not open so I could not get a replace ment pigtail for the rear most sensor which had corrosion in it. I cleaned everything out best I possibly could and put the 2 new sensors in. other then the corrosion on the rear sensor pigtail I did not see any issues with the knock sensor harnes. I only have a few hundred miles on this repair and I am getting the same thing again.... If it matters I have around 118,000 miles on it. In both case the DTC set after I nailed the throttle to pass somone and came on after going over about 4000 RPM's truck is basically stock with a K&N replacement air filter.

Sensor #1 Is the front sensor isn't it?

Thanks for any help I can get....

I have never had this code come back at the dealer. I would recommend replacing the terminal on the back sensor. These senors are very easy to damage on installaton. Be sure not to overtorque. The elemnt inside can break. Hope this helps.

Ya I have the Oem books from Helm and followed procedure. I also have acess to AllData at work. Actually I located another harness so I might try that this time.

Thanks for confirming.

I don't understand it wich is why I came here. Maybe I just got a defective sensor. I hope It's not something else.... I am going to check the resistance according to the procedure in the book and make sure there are no breaks in the harness wiring...
