Default owned tranny?

I was on the way over to my girlfriends house tonight when my truck started acting very wierd. First let me give you some backround. I just had the Yank Truck Thruster 3000 installed on my 4l60e tranny that has about 15k miles on it. Everything has been fine up till now except once when the truck stalled in a car was for no reason a few days after I had the converter installed.

Tonight, the tranny seemed to be "slipping" I was in OD on the highway and it would randomly slowdown and bog the engine. I put the truck into neutral to check to make sure the engine was fine, it seemed to be. It seems to run fine when placed in 3 or 2, there are no apparent problems. But OD/shifting seems to bog or delay randomly when doing 65mph on the highway, It's like I got a huge piece of gum stuck in the tranny.

Did I own something with the high stall torque converter? Will I have to get my transmission rebuilt? (Level10 or something similar)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am at a loss at the moment....

Maybe somebody else has a better idea but it sounds like the torque convertor is locking and unlocking in OD and causing it to feel weird. If it feels good going into gears then You may just need to get the TCC lockup right. Good luck

The TC lockup sounds like the problem and it killed the car before because it locked the convertor at too low a mph I guess

Check the trans fluid and make sure it is on the "hot" section of the dipstick. Other than that...not sure.

You may be getting misfires causing the SES and the converter to lock and unlock constantly. But once the SES is set for misfires, the converter will not lockup again until the codes are cleared or you go through enough run cycles where the pcm doesn't see any misfires and will "reset" the code, although it is still stored in history.

update: SES light is now on...
I think I am going to take it to a tranny shop or back to the dealer and see what they have to say about it
