Default Ordered ARP Rod Bolts, Install Tips

I ordered some arp high performance rod bolts and was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to install them. Currently the oil pan is already dropped waiting for the bolts to come in.

Alright, I'll just take one out at a time and torque to factory spec, unless they come with instructions...

I remember reading a few things here about the ARP rod bolts...some guys just swapped them in while others mentioned machining the rods?? You might want to check the internal engine section or try a search on "ARP rod bolts"

I did a search in the GM Engine Exhaust and performance section and a bunch of different stuff came up, here's a good one here: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...=ARP+Rod+Bolts

I just did mine last week. I did one at a time. Torqued the bolt to 40ft/lbs, loosen, torque to 40ft/lbs, loosen then torque to 40ft/lbs one last time. This procedure allows for any strech in the bolt the after initial torqueing. The LSx cracked rods do not have to be clearanced for the bolts to fit.
