I'm kinda glad not everyone likes the sts kit. I like being different (and fast).....Now go buy a front mound and start cracking manifolds. lol

I kind of agree. I can fab and build my own kit, I just cant find anyone who will give me a P/N or a way to get one of those damn oil pumps. I did my own kit on my Blazer and it only took 6 hours start to finnish, all fab and everything. Thing is the turbo could be mounted high enough to gravity drain and didnt need a oil return pump.
I would like to boost my Yukon, but I need one of those stupid pumps.
Oh, Banks is making a kit identical to STS for the Vettes and Fbodys, but I bet there ALOT more than STS.

I think that STS kits are worth the money, but they have their limit. My truck wont hold boost on the dyno with the kit and I know a few other cars that wouldnt hold boost with the STS, but then changed to a front mount and now they will hold the boost.
Also rain is a big issue with the kit on a lowered truck.
They do make power.....over 550rwhp out of a 4.8 liter....
On a side note I do know of a nice one for sale. FMIC, 67mm turbo, bov, controller, and it makes TONS of power

I gave 2300 for a used kit
250 injectors
250 tune
110 fuel pump
280 gauges
150 used lc1
3340.00
You can't hardly buy a used maggie for that and you'll still need tune, gauges, fuel pump and lc1!
In short, its WORTH IT!!!
You can't knock the grin off my face

I have a question about the oil pump. Could the stock oil cooler lines be used to feed and return the oil from the cooler?
Could you tap into this? I got this from someones for sale add, it is the oil cooler/sending unit.

You can't have positive pressure after the bearing journals in the turbo, or it will push oil past the seals into the intake and exhaust of the turbo. The oil cooler lines like you posted have pressure coming out and going back in as they feed the rest of the bearings in the motor.
That hose assembly bolts on the same place you tap for the turbo feed. I welded mine in the valve cover. If the design works ...aint broke don't fix.
