Default old magnacharger

what do you guys think about the old magnachargers? i am looking at one and the guy says at launch he is running 3psi and 6psi right before shift. with a nelson tune would i see a big differance. and later if i intercooled and up the boost would it be worth it.?

The older Magnacharger was a decent setup but it uses a smaller supercharger and there's no way to add an intercooler.If you realize that you'll only gain about 50 to 60hp and that replacement parts specific to that kit are almost nonexsistant and can be satisfied with that then go for it.

I had one for a while. It is strong of the line, but runs out of dreath up top. If you could fab up tubing and intercooler for more boost it would help. If you can find one cheap enough it would be worth the extra hp.

i found one local for 2000 and if i get it i plan on intercooling it and upping the boost

Intercooling can be done, but expensive.

There are a few dealers giving free shippin on the Radix system right now -------------->

You might be close to the cost of the Radix when you are done with the old style.

No way would I pay 2000 for that. You can get used prochargers for that and those are a much better system IMO. If you have the money and are serious about doing IC work with it, then I agree with BlownChevy that you should save a tad more and go with the Radix.
