Default OK, who has put the Trailblazer I6 TC behind a 5.3?

I'm thinkin' about installing one behind my Whippled 5.3. I imagine it should stall at 2800 or so with the 472 ft/lbs of torque I have at the rear wheels. Any comments? Am I an idiot or does this sound like a decent upgrade sinece my tranny is being rebuilt right this moment? Or should I bite the bullet and get a Vigilante?

I've been pondering the same question. Hopefully someone will chime in with a resolution.

I can't say what it would stall at, but it should handle the power no problem. I've seen a Silvy SS 6.0L with cam, headers and nitrous pull a 12.3-12.4sec 1/4 mile on one of those converters. Broke the tranny, but not the converter.

I have one and it's stalling to 2700 rpm behind my 6.0L, and is way looser in normal driving then the stock stall. Only problem you will have with it is the TCC will slip a little at low speeds/low TP%, Its a easy fix with tuning or a shift kit.

You don't happen to remember the part number, do ya? I would like to get the EXACT same one. Thanks!

I took a picture of the stall before I put it in, and the number on the sticker is #24228708.
