Question OK..What About Gaskets??

Was just thinking about the mods I will be doing. I now realized I may be needing new gaskets for a few things.
Headers: Come with new ones
Valvecovers: I think they are O-ring type and can be reused
Intake: Radix kit should come with them
Cam/ timing chain/ oil pump: Guess none of them come with a new timing chain cover gasket.
Shift kit and servos: Hopefully come with new gaskets/ O-rings
Am I missing anything??
Is there any kind of sealants of 3M that I will need?
What about Assembly lube? What do you guys recommend?
I ask a lot, but I want to be somewhat prepared.

Thanks,

Jim

As far as gaskets go, you should be set. Timing chain gasket can be reused, just put a thin thin thin bead of rtv on it. Vavle cover can be reused. Radix should come with all of them. Make sure you have a good oil pickup tube o-ring.

Right, all except the head gaskets are reusable. They have the silicon molded material over a metal frame. The last debate that will go on is over the pulley bolt. It, like the head and main bolts, are TTY ( torque to yield ) or recommended one use only. I and many others reused the crank bolt but the are cheap enough when you have time to locate it from the dealer.
The other option is to go on the SDPC website. They have cam and head/cam swap gasket kits available that include all the bolts. Unless you plan to swap out cam and/or heads again in the future I would replace the old gasket personally. No need for a leak to ruin your day, especially when the can swap kit is around $150 or so.
Just my personal opinion tho...

But the heads do not need to come off. I will be changing the valve springs and cam with the heads installed.
It souds like just a new timing chain cover gasket is needed.
Thanks,

Jim
