Ok, Need some Advice.
I currently have ( Exhaust wise) A magnaflow which is a Dual 2.5 inlet and a Dual 2.5 outlet. The muffler is the one that is I think 22 inches long. Here is the problem, It is too quiet. I love the sound of flowmasters but dont like the performance or lack of it. I am really considering going with Hooker Aerochambers, Was thinking 2 mufflers ( True Duals) both 2.5 inlet and 2.5 outlet. Being that I am supercharged do you think these will perform decent? The magnaflow also has a X pipe built into it. I dont want a x pipe being that it quiets it down. Any opinions?

I had two single inlet/oulet magnaflows that were basically straight through design and they were tame at cruise until you put it to the wood then it was like whoa loud. It lost 8 hp on dyno but picked up 10 ftlbs.

helped a buddy of mine drop a 540" Ultrastreet Scott Shafiroff pump gas big block into a '71 El Camino a few weeks ago (760 hp). used a 3" dual exhaust system w/ a pair of Hooker Aerochambers. sounds mean!!! very good flowing and sounding muffler! on that particular car i'd have used a bigger system, but thats just me. I have 3" IN/ 3" Out AeroChamber.....great muffler. If you going to run true dual an X pipe is necessary because it balances exhaust pulses in the two banks of the engine. The AeroChamber is a straight through design, has very little drone at cruising speed, and sounds great WOT. A member of this board "Flyer" has some exhaust clips on his website of Supercharged 5.3 with AeroChambers. They are $60 from Jegs.com

three83...not trying to start a fight, but an X pipe, or any corssover, is not NECESSARY. will it add power? probably, but it is not necessary by any means. no problems running true duals w/o a crossover (X or H).
just dont want the guy to be lead into believing he has to buy something he doesnt really need. CHIP
