Default Ok looking to do a new exhaust system need help!!!

Ok the time has come to redue my exhaust system. Right now I am running a dual in dual out flowmaster 50 series i think dunno it came with the truck, the pipes go out behind both rear tires and finish with 4 inch tips. It looks and sounds awesome but I need a change.
So can you guys give me some ideas. Magnaflow, borla, etc. Not looking to drop a bunch of cash but if I have to so be it. Not looking to be crazy load but I want to be happy and known with it.. My flowmaster sounds great it has a great tone and I love the way it sounds when you go from 4th to 3rd sounds like a jack brake..
Also should I run an "X" pipe or just stay dual in dual out. Or do I get 2 different mufflers..
Please let me know what you guys think and thanks..
