Default Which oil weight?

My truck is running hot due to fan harness not letting the 2nd fan come on high when the a/c is running. Changing oil in the morning before I go to Dallas. ~3 1/2 hr drive. Would it matter if I used 5W30 or 10W30 Mobil 1? I don't think it makes a difference, just wondering if one would run cooler than the other.

Thanks.

10W30 will be thicker, thus reducing temps, but it may not be noticable.....but Karo syrup is hard to beat

10-30 is what I use - mobil 1 -

by the way I am having the same problems with my harness?? as long as im driving it , its ok but if I come into traffic and sitting there with the a/c on it will start heating up and I have to turn off the a/c and open the windows... I really getting tired of it, I wonder if there is any way to just leave both of them on all the time??

When I turn my toggle on, both fans come on low. This works great at night, when I usually have my windows down anyways. During the day if I have the toggle on with both fans on low, turn the a/c on and the driver side fan stays on low, while the passanger fan comes on high. I think it would be fine if both fans would come on high with the a/c on like their supposed to. How do your's work?

10w30 the higher vicosity will protect from friction hence less heat, but you mpg will be down a little.
