Default Oil Pressure Guage Pegged Out

Guys I am running into problems with my oil pressure guage being pegged out. I am down to thinking it is the sensor, but I am having a hard time with the idea that that sensor being bad would show way past full pressure. Sorry if that makes little to no sense, I do not know any other way to explain.

Its most likely the guage. They like to go out. Mine did the exact same thing.

Are you talking about your stock oil pressure guage i the dash cluster itself? If so then it's most def. your dash cluster. I have to send dash clusters off for repair at least twice a week here at work. The stepper motor on the bacside is probably pegged.

It usually cost $100 or more to send a cluster to AC Delco repair centers and have it repaired.
