Default oil pressure dropping!!!

98 5.7L, just turned over 195k miles all stock. Oil pressure consistently ran at 50 to 60 psi all the time, idling or 5k rpms, recently noticed at drop at idle to 20-30 psi and at 3-4k rpms i'm running 35 to 45 psi, then when i slowed down to a stop, back to 20-30. So i replaced the oil pump and truck ran like it used to,50-60 psi all the time, but only for the first two days. Now i'm noticing a slight drop once again and it's getting slightly worse the more i drive it. No leaks, no smoke. Do you guys think this is something i should be worried about? Is my motor on its last leg or am i just paranoid? Thank you in advance.

With that amount of miles I'd be willing to bet that bearing clearances in the motor are just getting well beyond specs which would cause oil pressure issues.

Could be a number of things but I have an 08 5.3 with 165k on the ticker and had same problem. Mine turned out to be a seal on the cam shift retainer. Had to tear it down almost all the way to find the problem though. Good luck
