Oil Coolers
#1
With summer around the corner, I want to upgrade my oil cooler on my 6.0. I have the factory cooler currently which is built into the radiator. For those that dont know the lines run from the block by the oil filter to the radiator. This is a factory location on the side of the block so anyone can add one. Anyways, I want to add a bigger external cooler. My question is can i run the new cooler in-line with the factory cooler or will i lose too much pressure?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

i run normal in the winter months but in the summer when its 100+ coming home from Arizona to Cali the temps start to creep up on some notorious grades. i wanted the additional cooling for safe guard. the big 40's take a toll on her on the grades. one thing to note, i used to have a clutch fan and moved to electric fans. this keeps my ac cold for the family when at idle as the clutch didnt keep it cold at idle.

If you run another cooler inline with the factory, you will have to modify the lines - I assume you know this.
I think it would work just fine -you would have to put more oil in.
Does it get over 240? 260?
Where do you have your temp sensor located?
