Default Oil in Air Filter Box

I was pulling out the air filter to see if it needs to be clean before I go on my trip this weekend and I found a little bit of oil in bottom of my air box. It looks like fresh motor oil. I have a magnacharger sidemount on it so I was wondering how it would get there. Any idea's why it is doing this and what can I do to fix it? I am guessing this is something bad.

Could it be some of the oil from the K&N, mixed with dirt, giving the illusion of engine oil? Check the intake tube for the presence of oil also. Another suggetion would be possible oil blow-by or oil through the PCV system...there's a re-designed PCV valve and/or an AMW catch can to help combat the PCV issue.

Nope it isn't a KN it is a paper filter. It is golden color oil so and it is in my intake tube. I don't have a catch can but what is the part# for the redesigned PCV valve?

litreddevil: you can pick up a catch can from AMW, there's a link to their website to the right, and a direct link to the catch can page right here:
http://www.accmachtech.com/pcvcatchcans.htm

getsome: the part# for the redesigned PCV is 25179136. It's a fixed orifice design as opposed to the traditional sping and plunger design.

Just a note: After I got my AMW catch can I switched back to the original design PCV valve...using the 2 together made an annoying whistling noise. Not really sure how much the redesigned PCV helps, I still had oil sucking through it, just not sure how much.
