ken 96 told me he had 5psi and that exhaust helped him a ton so i figured i better put a guage on my truck and see what i have. i had to fab together something(compersion tester hose with a fuel presure gauge screwed into the front o2 hole)
my gauge only goes up to 10psi so it was a bit of a guess but i completly burried it, this is at only 5k and 6psi of boost. now i am really pumped up waiting for the rest of my exhaust to show. is 13psi as bad as it sounds?
going from stock 5.3 setup to ASM longtubes, no cats, 3" turbos and 3"tail pipes out the back.

i don't know but ken 96 has a 96 chevy with a 350 and a vortech at 8psi and he made 5psi sound bad, he also told me a new lightning has around 2psi max so if i had to guess i would say 2psi or less. his new system is less than 1psi but i bet it is loud, i will have to ask him, something like a desil, strait thru muffler with a 4" tail pipe.

With the QTEC electric cutout I can go from stock to open Y w/o cats and there IS a noticible SOTP difference N/A and even more so on nitrous.

Holy **** man! 13psi <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
Your lucky you haven't blown the muffler apart yet. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> Seriously.
There's a guy that blew the y-pipe off his f-body running 7psi of boost so it can definately happen. Actually for you it might have been best if it did happen. <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />
Your truck is gonna love new exhaust. Your gonna pick up a ton with a free flowing exhaust. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
John
BTW - On a blown vehicle the less backpressure the better. <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />
