I'm not sure why the blade closed. I have removed TM from mine, but have never logged the TB angle. I'll do that a few times before I spray.
Instead of hitting a speed limiter where ignition cuts off like our old trucks, with the elec TB, the TB just starts to close so speed never goes over the limiter. You accel hard to the limit, and the truck just eases off the gas and keeps speeds at the limiter.

yep, what bigtex said, i hit my speed limiter last night and it was nice and smooth, made ya think thats all the truck had in it. thing is i had to do it down hill to be sure, the 4.8 doesn't exaclty rip right up to 97mph without a hill.
havent the vettes had the drive by wire for awhile? i bet the geting rid of TM will take care of the problem but seperating the timing pull and throttle closing may not be posiable.

yea, i have thought about that, a built 422 with a 300shot would have to be in the 10's, super easy to do too. i love the sound of a turbo car though. i will be going in steps, probably go with a stroker(low compresion) and a big shot and see what that does, then decide on FI later.
