ocasionally does'nt want to start?

Is this a V6 or V8. I remember when I had my 2000 silverado V6 it would do the same thing. I thought it was the fuel pump also but I checked the pressure and it was fine. It ended up being the ignition module beside the coil pack. I replaced it and never had anymore problems out of it.

If it's a 99+ then start the truck, turn it off, pull the vacuum line that goes to the fuel regulator on the rail, if it has fuel dripping out of the line the reg. needs to be replaced. This is the most common problem with these trucks.

I think the only chace you have at finding out whats wrong is when it won't start.
