FWIW, my OBX with flanges had a weeping leak on the drivers side collector that was about as bad as the one leaking slip fit connection I had on the Y pipe. I think I will manage without flanges.

I'm staring at a dynatech right now. I don't see how thats possible. The OBX also have the obsolete design that burns your plug wires.

Look at how dynatech welds the header flange to the primaries. It's just a spot weld. On the OBX's the weld is a perfect weld all the way around the primary.

I see what you are saying, but that weld all the way around is not necessary. It's just added weight. They are welded all the way around on the inside completely, then decked completely smooth.

WTF your not talking about a pound if even that much or maybe more IDK but i doubt you can tell if you've added a pound or two with a better weld unless your truck is very sluggish.
