No it's going in a 4.8
Is that a problem?

I have this cam in my 4.8, and gained 31 rwhp with it.

It WILL require some fiddling with the TB to get it to idle correctly (drilling out the hole in the TB blade) and is a little too "peaky" for my tastes. I really feel like I lost a lot of torque below 3000 rpms.

The cam really wails in the upper rpm's though!

Scream What tune do you have and what other mods do you have.

Did you change valve springs?

Just a suggestion, rather than spend $2500 on bolt-ons to run low 15s,save your money and do a 6.0 for under $2000 and run mid 13s easy.I think people have a hang-up about an engine R&R job.

I don't have a hang up about doing a motor swap.
After we do one on the WS6 I am going to take the 5.7 block and do some work on it and put it in the truck.

Besides I don't have any where near 2500 in mods in my truck. It's more like 500 in mods.

With the contacts I have at work most everything is comp or at wd pricing. In fact I have only bought 2 items for this truck.

No you can't have my job and no we arn't hiring
