I have been having a p0200 off and on for a few months now ....(only 100 miles on the truck max)


the truck is running fine sometimes and sometimes its not .....

when highway cruising ..... very smooth
when high idling ....... verysmooth
when low or at temp idle ..... rough
when you floor it until your cruising ..... rough
high steady rev ........ smooth


bought a set of injectors and tried repluging and repluging and repluging the clips into both sets of injectors numeours times....

this is what i *finally* found ......





pictures are from my picture phone which doesnt have a very good closeup photo but you can see in the photo one connector is black in the center and the other connector is silver(first pic)

the silver connector had some solder that ran down and closed the hole that clips over the injector prong itself and when plugged in, it gets pushed back and barley touches the injector prong as sceen in the second pic ..... this explains the inconsistancies in its idle and the po200 code only on sometimes!

again pics are bad but i definatley learned something, especially when soldering little wires and connectors ......

 

good find. wiring issues are always the hardest to track down. the best ones are the ones where the wire is broken but the insulation is not!!!
