Default not really "truck" related but.....

the camaro forum has like no traffic and im a truck forum junkie so I wanted to post here, you all feel like family. any way i have a 72 camaro ( pics here , and ive since re done the exhuast and lowered it so looks even better ) But i keep haveing issues with motors so im thinking of droping in a pullout ls1 with trans ( since i have no overdrive now ). S&P makes the converson engine mounts and i know ill need a inline fuel pump and return line but. what do i do about all the rest of the wires ( for like the dash n stuff )

Is it painless performance that makes a harness for the LSx PCM for conversion purposes? I think so. Thats a good question though.

Use the FAST engine management system and Autometer gauges and it should be a fairly easy swap (people put LT1's into older junk all the time...an LS1 can't be THAT much harder)

Go for the engine swap, you'll love it! The oil pressure will hook right up to a stock guage. The temperature will need a 3 wire sending unit form GM, two wires are for the PCM and the third hooks to your stock guage. The tach if you have one will work with a converter box from Dakota Digital. The speedo can be hooked up with a box from Cable X that converts a electronic signal to a cable. I built a custom instrument cluster for mine so I got rid of the old cable driven 85MPH speedo. I also made some adaptor plates that mount the LS1 into the small block V8 mounts. As far as being more specific to your app post on the Conversions and Hybrids section of LS1TECH.com.
