Not happy with my cam
#1
Ok So I have an 03 Sierra with the cam in my sig (TPIS 215/220 cam) and just got a Wheatley tune. I asked him to tune it for a performance transmission since Im getting one at the end of the month anyhow and didnt want to sent it back for a re-tune. Not sure if its because the line pressure is down or becuase I need a converter but Im not happy barely beating a shortbed that looked about stock other than a loud azz exhaust.
I think my trans might might be slipping now too??? Not sure but when the cam really kicks in at around 4000 rpms they seem to shoot up really fast and feels like its slipping. The trans is stock and I dont have a converter yet. The fluid is very clean.
Blah Rant.......
Hopefully picking up a Whipple this weekend and a performabuilt this Tuesday then all my slow worries will be gone.

I added the cam to you original post, a converter will help getting off the lne and keep your rpms up in the powerband a little better. 2800 should be fine for the Whipple, I run a 2800.
