Non-GM e fans

I found a set of fans from a Ford Fusion so I figured for 50 bucks it would be worth asking. I know there have been some other GM fans used in the past, maybe even a set of Ford Taraus (spelling =
) fans. But does anyone know a practical way these could be hooked up? Will one of the vendor's harnesses work?

They should work. Keep an eye on them at first since they're really meant to cool a smaller car. Not a V8 truck lol. A vendors harness should work if they're 2 pin connectors on the fans. All they need is power and ground. I know people who have used expedition fans and they've worked well. Lots of minivans have some badass electric fans too. They move a ton of air.

you can make any set up work for pluggin them in if you need to get the harness ends off of the car and splice them to the relay set up you used mine are hyden fans and i used there relay kit and hard wired the fans to it

Well if there are connectors on the fans, you just need to buy or make a harness with the LS1 harness side connectors on it. If the connectors are cut off of the fans, and there are only wires hanging off of it, you can either hard wire the fan harness to the fans, or make connectors with male and female ends to plug in. I'd use something with connectors instead of hard wiring them though, so you can just unplug the fans if you ever have to remove them for whatever reason. Do you have a pic?

I can't remember what my 05 connectors look like, and I'm at work and not by my truck right now, but I see the pins/terminals where the harness plugs in, right on the motors. If you get or make a harness with the connectors for LS1 fans, I believe that they will plug directly into the male terminals right on the fan motors. The connectors are available if you decide to make the harness yourself, or you can contact BlackBear or Nelson for one of their harnesses
