Nitrous 5.3

Nitrous 5.3
Don’t know to much about cams but need help choosing one for a lm7 5.3. Don’t want a custom cam, thinking about a hot cam. It’s a sbe with ported 243 heads, tbss intake, planning to run 100-150 shot of nitrous. Going into an s10 with a 4l60 and want to base the stall off the cam. It’s not going to be a daily driver.

Look at brian tooley racing and texas speed.
They have several cams you can pick from. You can even contact them about what you doing and they can help spec which camshaft would be a good choice.
You can't go wrong with a 212/218 cam or slight bigger around 218-222/226-228 give or take. Pray for the 60e with more power.

Why wouldn’t you want a custom cam?? Sorry, but that makes no sense at all. Your spending thousands putting a setup together and your gonna skimp on a $50 charge for a custom cam for your setup?
i actually have a cam that was specd for a 3400 lb vehicle to have a 5.3 with cathedrals and nitrous for sale in the section and will sell it cheap to get rid of it

Why wouldn’t you want a custom cam?? Sorry, but that makes no sense at all. Your spending thousands putting a setup together and your gonna skimp on a $50 charge for a custom cam for your setup?
