Default nitro[u]s 5.3

Just wanting to know why some trucks that i read about don't run quite right? I own a 02 5.3 extended cab that runs sweet on the gas. Well into the thirteens... I only have air intake, pp3, theromstat, and a shot of gas. Just ?s cause i have be building cars for about ten years . I just started with this truck and am having a blast thanks for the good questions and answers from all. It makes it easier to learn more from differnt people...

wet or dry shot ? I have not heard of any real problems about guys running gas other than myself. And we won't go there again, or will we. I may have a little suprise at the next dyno day.

Well greg all i'm saying is that some of these trucks have much more and don't seem to be responding to the parts as well. Its a wet nos with a top gun pro fogger nozzle, with 63 nitros and 33 gas pills try it it is a gorgous thing... It is one of the two i have done, the other is a 00 ext cab all stock with a flowmaster and a shot it went 13.50's at 103...Prettyy funny

It looks like you have you stuff together and a very good set up from the way you talk. I still don't know what specific problems you are refering to. Mid 13's on an EC with ? shot is not at all unheard of. Look Here. My 14.6 was off throttle through the traps with a 4.8. Yes some of the set-ups I have seen scare me a little. Mine first was a live and learn situation too. The wet shot set-ups do seem to be more dependable. I was running a dry shot. I am considering a wet set up next

Greg you will need to come meet up with us and go racing. We live @ the belt wat and fairmont in pasadena. The problems really werent problems at all they were just thoughts. I mread something about a guy saying his truck with nitros makes more power and torque than it does with a compareable blower...i don't understand that since i've been using blowers since 91...[Vortech} They, make lots more power and much more dependable power than nitros and it never runs out...lol

hyde,
how are you getting that truck in the 13.50's? Drag Radials, Converter, Insane N2O shot. I've never heard of just nitrous and exhaust getting numbers like that You got me wondering why I don't cut 13.50's. Just curious- and not second guessing you by any means, but can you list ALL that has been done to that truck. Thanks man.
