Diesel doesnt use SPARK plugs they use GLOW plugs due to the fact they are compression ignition and not spark ignition. They use the compression of the ar in the cylindars to generate the heat for the combustion, the GLOW plugs of course are there for emmissions/milage(by providing a complete burn) and to make cold starts easier among other things.
Is there any way yall can add into this thread or the original post what plugs to use for the different stages of builds I.E. cam/cam and heads/cam heads LT's exhaust and CAI Ect. Ect. due to the heat ranges to better help folks make a decision. I know different heat ranges yield themselves better to different set ups and what not and yo dont want a plug thats to cold or hot for your app.
Just askin cause it may be too broad of a spectrum to cover.

Also, FYI, not all diesels have glow plugs (a good example is the Cummins used in the Dodge Ram), and they are only used for cold start-ups.
