next mod advice please?

Default next mod advice please?

i have a 1999 4.8L 4x4 chevy silverado.
i have a volant intake, and a cat back.
i want some more pep and torque for towing. the truck is my daily driver so i dont want to go to crazy. but i have 300 to spend and ill have another 300 next month.
so what should i buy next? asp pulley? or shorty edlebrock headers? or what?

really, a tune before headers and stuff? will it really help that much?

You'll gain more from a tune, but it wouldn't be a bad ideal to get supporting mods before the tune. It is only $10 per tune from nelson, but you also have the time of shipping and stuff that your truck will be down.
Also, I would only go shorty's if you have emissions.

Gear M up has a good point. A shift kit, and a vette servo, then get a tune and take all the torque managment out. That would make a big difference. Not too expensive either.
