Hey Ya'll
Looks like a great site!
I should get a 2000 silverado ext cab 5.3 1/2 ton w/in the month. It is bone stock. It has 127k miles on it. One of my reps trks, well maintained hwy miles. very good price for it. 3.42 gears, stock size Michelin m/s tires, toolbox, bedliner, & a rec. hitch. It will be my daily work truck, which will be mainly the 16mi. trip to work. Sometimes I go see cust. 3-4 hours away too. Will haul kids & small dirt bikes to go ride some.
My current company truck is a 92 Dakota w/ 216k.
It's been really good, but I'm not a dodge man. I'm ready to move up. Co. helps pay for it too.
My weekend ride is a 95 Impala SS, Black of course. 2002 SCCA F-stock Solo II Alabama region Champion.
Fun to beat Mustangs.
I do not want major mods, I just want to spice it up some & add a little sound out back.
A co-worker just added a Borla dual cat back exh to his 2002 1500 5.3, but it is a little to quiet.
I was thinking of having a local shop adding Flowmasters & duals w/ larger pipes.
I'm not sure which model won't rattle the cab.
next would be a k&n genII cold air kit.
I read a few sites about it adding more power than several other top names. I trust k&n too.
Next & most difficult is modding the computer.
The Impala sites have a co., pcmforless that has modded hundreds of pcms & receives much praise.
Only around $100. or so.
I would let him do the truck, but he does not list them.
So I am listening to you on what other cheap mods to do to my new chevy.
What is the best bang for the buck?
Remember no nos, blowers or turbos. Daily Driver.

Yes they were on different days, but the higher numbers came in 5-8* warmer temps. So those numbers could be better. No other mods between dyno runs. As for your computer, there are several programmers out ther. The best bang for the buck is probably the Diablo. Of corse LS1Edit is better IMO, but it can cost considerably more. There are a hand full of free ods too. T/B bypass, EGR cutoff, MAF screen removal, and a couple of others. Snoop around here a little and see what you like.
