Default Newbie 2500hd 6.0

My truck is a 2006 2500hd 6.0 4x4 reg box crew cab. It is also a gargantuan pooch when the skinny pedal is hit. Im thinking about a set of headers and a nelson performance tune. Any input as to the best headers to fit my truck or possibly any other insight to make it 'move'. Also curious as to the best exhaust setup after the headers single outlet dual outlet? I really don't care if I have the look of dual pipes im more interested in functional pipe/pipes. Noise is an issue as the popo in my area loves to pull people over for that lovely rumble cackle of exhaust. I believe I will be acquiring a proflo bigoval muffler for the setup unsure of what size pipe as I am waiting for input.

The rundown

Lt headers(don't know which ones or primary size)
Nelson performance tune
Dual/single exhaust(input needed)

Thanks for the help

Tune helps a lot. Headers will help a bit as well, at stock power levels it won't make a difference which brand you pick, so cheapest stainless ones you can find (probably tsp) would be my choice. Stock exhaust isn't really a restriction, just replace the stock muffler with whatever you want and you're pretty much done with that.

1 7/8 headers, tune, full exhaust (eithet a Y-Pipe or X-Pipe setup).

Then look into a stall and gears.

Run 3" all the way out? Its already geared 410 to accommodate 33'' tires. What about the cats??
