Default New From Yank!!

Yank is proud to announce it has arrived in the HD Diesel market. This new SSDURAMAX is the first of a series that we will be introducing over the next few months. These converters are built to the tough Yank standards just like all of our other converters that's what makes them the choice of winners.

The New SSDURAMAX has a Multi plate lock up clutch that gives you three times the lockup surface area that a stock Duramax has. It also has a heavy duty one piece billet cover and custom machined stator. All of this put together means one tough great working converter. SO YANK IT AND GET OFF QUICKER!

Check it out today in our new products section at www.converter.cc

So this fits the Allison trannys? Does it lower tow ratings in any way? Any 1/4 mile tests on it yet? I just showed this to my roomate and he is interested. Nice to know that this is out there for the black smoke guys.

No it is not a restalled oem unit but we have to use the pump off of your unit along with other custom parts and billet cover. These cores are very hard to come by still. Thats why we have a larger core fee on them we are a hundred dollars less on ours than most other builders core fee for this unit.

Yes this unit does fit the allison tranny. And it will not reduce your towing capacities at all. It should increase them with the added triple plate clutch it will be much harder to drive through than the stock OEM unit. We have one in a truck running in town i should have some hard numbers in next week. This truck has the EDGE Juice & Attitude moniter kit and 4in exhaust from the head pipe back.

Dave I'm interested in this converters compatibility with the 8.1 / Allison combo. If it fits where should your new converter stall at? Also how does your new coverter compare to the stock unit in size and weight? I don't know the stock figures so please include them.

Thanks,
Vernon

You got me thinking about this one. The stock converter is one of the parts that hold you back when it comes to adding big torque to the Duramax.
