Question for all you smart fellas out there in ls1tech.com land. I have recently purchased an 03 H2 6.0 and tranny. No accessories, intake. Low miles. Now the question is what to do???? I have an 01 ecsb 4by w/ 5.3. Daily driver, but looking for more *********. Hoping 350 to 4 at the wheels. Any input would be helpful.

First big project so excuse my stupidity.
Thanks guys.

I understand it is a direct replacement. I just want to know what it takes to get to 400 rwhp.

To get 400 RWHP you will need some kind of forced induction. Unless you plan on a stroker or a set of good heads/cam, 400RWHP n/a is alot to ask for.

Wouldn't a radical H+C 6.0L with all the bolt on's be in the 350-400 range at the tires? Or am I being a little optimistic?

I'm in the progress of doing this. My 6.0l is just waiting on some aesthetic items before she goes in, they best get here today or she's going in tonight with out them . I'm hoping for 350 at the rear wheels on my 4wd with a real mild cam and P/P stock heads and the usual bolt ons. Won't be able to get to the dyno for a few months (after the breakin period)

A stock 6.0L block with big heads/cam and every bolt-on in the book might get close to 400rwhp but drivibility may be **** if you cant geta real good tune in it.

I have yet to see someone here do it without using a stoker. Not that it can't be done or anything but IMO it is cheaper/better to do it with forced induction.

I am going to start looking at the 408 stroker from APE. they have some awesome deals on them. I gaurantee it can make 400 rwhp with ease. might be something to think about. If you want to keep the stock 6.0 put a radix on it and be done.
