Default New truck

i have been on this forum for a while i just have not posted yet. But now that i have an Ls based engine i have some learning to do. I just bought a 2000 sierra w a 5.3. it has a Joe Gibbs pakage. one owner with 50k miles in mint condition. My question is, does anyone know what this pakage consist of? i know it has a magna charger! but what else is there to this pakage? btw dealer said it was an $11K pakage.
needless to say i have good intentions and plan on learning what i can about forced induction. thanx

I thought that the Joe Gibbs Trucks didn't come out until 2004? Are you sure he didn't just add the magnacharger?

I dont think that they make them for the Sierras anyhow, you may want to check into that, dont want you to get burned.

The Joe Gibbs was not available in 2000, not even as a kit from a dealer (could be wrong??) ................ even if it was it would only be on Chevy's not GMC.... even though most of the kit would work except the front bumper cover and grills.

The Magnacharger kit available in 2000 was a sidemount non intercooled version, not the current Radix kit.Does the supercharger kit on the truck have the supercharger mounted on the motor or on the passenger side over the exhaust manifold?

yeah it is the non intercooled one i already looked into that. it is a side mount powder coat gray. the guy who owned it worked for the dealership. It has larger roters in the back than in the front. I didn't think this was standard but i really dont know. It is a D-488-2
i felt like it was a good deal. 15000 walk out w ttl
3 months of warenty a pewter camper shell that i will sell.
it has stock airbox and manifolds
50000 miles
no mechanical problems, been preasure tested and everything by a mechanic my dad has used for years.
