Default New in town, i need a little help??? MODS

Hey everyone,

i am really new to PT.net and also to trucks in general, i have been looking at the forums for days and can't reall yseem to find what i am looking for.

I have a brand new 2007 Silverado 5.3l with fuel flex tech and i am looking for some upgrades??? i know and have seen that this is a very common topic but i cant find too much for the newer trucks.

I was thinking of long tube headers with an x pipe but dont know who's got the best, my goal is between 375 and 450 RWHP. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. i have heard a little about intakes and diablo chips is well. i honestly have no idea what will work for me, thats why i am here?

Anything but forced induction, i know thats where most of the power is but too much $$$ for right now.
Thanks to all in advance, i look forward to learning alot from all your vast knowledge

Welcome.
Exhaust and tuning will gain you about 10% at the wheels. From there you're probly looking at heads/cam. You already have a larger (87mm) TB so it'll probly respond well to a little more compression too. Buy Dynatech's if you can blow the dough, otherwise buy Pacesetters.
Honestly, I don't know what can/can't be done with the new DOD engines but if all else is the same, that combo can get you somewhere @350rwhp. To hit 400+ rwhp from a 5.3 isn't gonna happen without FI or Nitrous.
Spraying it with a 75 dry shot is the simplest way to do it.
Happy modding!
