new plugs cancelled SES code.

thought my rough idle was due to a faulty IAC valve. took it to autozone just to be sure. the scantool said cylinder 7 was misfiring. i was hoping it wasn't the coil. so i bought new AC delco platinum plugs and took my Taylor wires off and put the stockers back on. idle is now smooth. SES is off. i am happy again

I've had Taylor wires before(on my old '00 SS) and they were junk. I couldn't even listen to my radio from all the interference. The stock wires are actually very good although they don't ohm out as good as some aftermarket wires, for interference suppresion they are great though.
Glad to hear you got the rough idle taken care of.

XRL8NSS you are right. those wires caused too much whining noise in my stereo. it was really bad when i 1st put those wires in. over time it got better though. i am glad too that it wasn't something major.
FryZ71 i am not sure which it was, plugs or wires. i changed both out. should of put the stock wires back on first, that would been a quick easy way to figure out the problem.
Greg i have no idea why i switched.
after being on this forum for the past 2 years i finally learned that stock plugs and wires
i'm a idiot. hit me on the head with a tack hammer
