Yea I don't want to **** on you... But I've seen it countless times. Guys ditch a chambered muffler in favor of a straight through design and gain power.

Props to the forum sponsor for sticking up for his product. I have to respect that. Doesn't flowmaster offer some straight through mufflers?

Yes we do. Our Outlaw Series race mufflers are a straight through design.

Yes, Flowmaster engineers have designed each series of mufflers with maximum efficiency in mind.

do your headers and a real dual exh, you should move to the factory
larger rad with dual E-Fans , 170 deg stat also. get a good tune
wires and plugs would prob help if yours are still original factory ones.
CAI of course.

i call bullshit on that. all the ennginers do is for sound. i can search google and get pages on people taking their flowmaster off and gaining 20+hp. **** i even drew up a layout for a guy on another board for a pair of mufflers that he wanted to build and he did. **** sounds nice for me.

Coming from a guy that just built up a 6.0 that cost over $4,000 I think if I did it over again I would just turbo my 5.3 as they are cheap if they blow. My next plan is to turbo my LQ4 but I guess whats your budget. LS motors get expensive really fast.

so the delta flow plates don't impede the flow of hot exhaust gas?

also threw that pic in autocad to measure the inlet and the tube that runs from the front chamber to the delta plates, and that tube is nearly 6% smaller then the inlet and outlet.

also when i ran one on my old truck it droned like a **** at around 1500-2200rpms. basically cruising speed. i thought your engineers spent time and money to lessen drone. i know when i went with a spintech/pypes race pro the drone was a lot less.

at least i know with my magnaflow my pipe is the same diameter all the way threw and is stainless steel so i don't need to worry about it rusting inside out.
