Default New guy with questions!

Hello everyone, just want to start off by saying that this forum kicks ***! Now for the Q's.

I have a 01' RCSB silverado with 5.3L 2/4 drop, 3.73 g80, 3" single cat back exhaust, k&n gen2, egr mod, hpp3 raised shift poits with 87 tunning, maf descreened. I have been running the truck like this for about 30,000 miles. I have been doing alot of research on the MAF stuff and this has caused me to want to go back and throw a new one on there with the screen again. I live in california and the gas here is crap. I run 87 all the time because of the price. I have been away from the race track for a while because of my busy schedual but am getting back into it. With what i have told you so far would it be wise to put the new maf w/screen back on?

Also, I want to add hotchkis swaybars. Will these make the dramatic difference everyone says they do? Also, what should my next bolt-on be for more power? Pullies? I would appreciate the help. Thanks!

Go for a set of full length headers or a 3000 or 3200 stall converter, that will really wake your truck up. I wouldnt bother putting the screen back in, Maybe if you had some pinging problems but since you didnt say anything about it, i wouldnt worry about it

Welcome to the party!

With $500, I'd say save up a bit more and go with these mods:

Ported stock TB http://home.att.net/~m.shaner/wsb/ht...ome.html-.html

Yank 3000rpm stall converter http://www.converter.cc/trucks_and_suvs.htm

The converter will be the biggest improvement on your truck aside from a turbo/blower. It allows you to jump right into the power.

ASP underdrive pullies (part no: ASP948584)http://www.rpmoutlet.com/aspgm.htm make sure to get the smaller alternator pulley too for limited charging problems.

The Other Guys/ASM headers http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/tru...ckexhaust.html I prefer TOG ones due to the better construction and such.

I asked about the sway bars over on FSC.com and they apparently are very nice. I prefer more speed first, but that's me... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
