Default new guy, great site, copper in my LM7

1999 silverado 4X4 sb 5.3 . should I rebuild it or get a short block? Just read Nov. 04 car craft 5.3 build up with several lingenfelter parts,458 hp. Really like Parish8's truck. what does he have for a block? I have a shpo and will do most of the work. up to $6000.00 budget. I tow a 5000lb car trailer and would not want to loose too much TQ. N/A, Supercharger, Turbo, what to do?

Personally, I would upgrade my valvetrain, add a small cam, exhaust, fresh air package, and make sure the block is in good shape, and drive it, it sounds like you have a race car, keep the truck simple and race the car.

Just MO.
