Default new guy with a cam question!!

Whats up fellas... been reading a **** load of cam thread cause im about to throw a little cam in my daily... But i still have a few questions that i cant seem to find the answers for...

Right now im looking into the 212 218 low lift comp... Im not wanting a big cam because i dont plan on running a stall... I tow quite a bit with it plus i live 30 miles from my work... i need all the gas mileage i can get...

But here is my question...

What are the pros and cons to a low lift/ high lift cam... Ive got the replace the springs anyway so I could easily upgrade them to accept the high lift... Is there something im missing somewhere that makes the low lift a better choice...

My truck right now has a CIA, magnaflow spun cats, flowmaster 50 and a vette servo in the tranny... My plans for it after the cam is to add some long tubes and who knows what after that...

any info is greatly appreciated!!
-Chris

I had that cam and it was alright... Your gonna want a stall with it, unless its going in a 6.0. I think that a converter should be your first mod! Then cam it later when the converter fun wears off. So many people do it backwards nowadays. If you get the right converter you can tow with it just fine. And it locks on the Highway so mileage will not be affected...
