It's hard to beat http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com when he runs a special, he is a sponsor here. ebay is good too if they have the model you want. Top dollar is going to be Corsa direct.

I have an 01 ext cab 5.3, I just replaced the muffler on it. I was the same way, I didnt want the big flashy crome pipes. I think the factory pipes were 2.5 duals into 2 7/8 single. I just cut the old muffler of and used 2 short pieces of 3" to make up the difference in length. The muffler i went with was the dynamax ultraflow weld. (oval) The muffler is a straight through design. Sounds really good, not too loud not too quiet, really has a good deep tone too it. Has a little reasonance at about 1800 rpms. But nothing like the flows on my car. I didnt feel a big difference, But i could tell a diffence.

I have decided to go with just the muffler replacement, mainly because of limited funds. But now the question is, should I get a 3" single in, dual 2.5" out like the stock setup, or should I get a single 3" Borla Pro XS muffler? The guy at the muffler shop told me that the single in, dual outs flow better, is this true?
