Is this new?

I'm installing a new intake and i've never seen this before. Does it just pop up and out with the main tube?

The breather hose from the intake tube to the intake is new too. Any issues not using the hose?

yes that just comes out with the rest of the intake tube and whatnot. yes, it is a new design from GM

its a intake resonator of sorts. Your engine will be a touch louder with a new intake. I did the air raid jr. kit which uses the stock box, and I could hear a bit more whoosh from the motor.
