New 383 cid TBI Motor in September
Alrighty then! Just got the ball rolling for a new Ultra Tech Racing Engines 383 for my Sierra. 350 hp/425 trq. Should be installed around the first week in September.
Here are some unresolved issues:
1. Cam
2. Fuel Pump
3. Fuel Injectors
I'm not sure which cam to go with, my tuner says I need a LSA of at least 114 and a cam around 112 degrees and under .470 lift. I need 111 lb/hr. @ 80% Duty Cycle injectors at 20 psi to support 350 hp. I know Holley has some 85-100 lb/hr. TBI injectors that will fit my 502-9 TBI. I have no idea about the fuel pump, could I install an in-line pump or do I need a new in-tank pump? The cam needs to be a Hydraulic Flat Tappet to stay within my budget.
Any and all suggestions are welcome....
