I have an 03 EC SB 5.3L with 3.73s factory locker and a few mods. Anyway I have yet to run my truck at the track and am wondering what other 03's are running at the track.

If anyone has some 03 quarter times please post them.

Also does anyone know FOR SURE when the Diablo predator is coming out for the 03 models?

 

I have yet to hit the track with my 03 either. Ive had a couple street races against some 15.-15.3 cars and beaten them all pretty good, but a street race is a poor judge of track times.

Anyway, i'm hearing about 15.1-14.9's for the stock 5.3's. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

 

I have a 03 5.3 RCSB with 3:73's and the Locker.

Bone stock with 600 miles full weight I was able to get my time down to 15.14 @91.7 (2.28 60ft)

Next trip to the track I was able to shave a 1/10 off my 1/8 mile time but the truck shifted strange and I ended up with the same 1/4 15.14 at 75 mph?

I think the 02's are the fastest of the bunch as the throttle by wire kills the 03's throttle response.

I never had a chance to dyno my truck any 03 dyno numbers out there?

Hey Quik SS what track did you run your truck at? Those are some good times. I wonder how much slower a EC is?

I plan to eventually dyno my truck along with my turbo honda, hopefully within the next few months. When I do I will be sure to post the dyno results.

 

Carlsbad on a 80 degree day so conditions were far from ideal.

I think the extra cabs weigh 4-500 lbs more so I would expect your truck to run 15.4-15.6

 

I heard that that new ugly front end catched so much air that it wont let the truck break in to the 15's. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . No I dont think there are enough guys on here that have had them long enough to find out what they run. my buddy has a 2003 GMC with the 5.3. 3.42s. and a limited slip diff. Stock he ran a best of 15.05. with 1500 miles on it. he put a hooker cat back and KN induction and went 14.84. with just a few more miles on it. Now stock with the exception of KN drop in filter my truck went 14.94. with 1200 miles on it. and i had 3.42s and an open diff. can someone explain why there is so much difference from truck to truck? its not just with our 2 trucks. many guys at the track and around town feel the same way and have timeslips to back it up.

 

a friend from work has a 03' chevy single cab w/ a 5.3. he also has a 3.73 limited slip and only performance mods he has is a 40 series muffler and he ran a 14.924 @89.8 mph. it really doesn't seem that fast but i was there when he ran it. he only has 900 miles on it also.

 

I have a full suspension setup, hotchkis and edelbrock, a UPD and a Corsa system. How much rime off the quarter mile do you all think these mods will drop?
