Default Nelson or Hp?

Looking to do a tune for my truck in the near future and was wondering what would be better a Nelson or Hp? I dont have a laptop right now but plan on getting one for going to college. Would like to go Hp but I know nothing about Tuning. Should I go for it and try to learn it or let some one who knows what their doing, do it for me?

I would just get the Nelson tune, he knows what he is doing. Then, if you get HP later, you can always tweak his tune yourself or have him retune it for you for free!

/\ what he said /\

And if you got hptuners you could then log some runs then send that file to allen, he could tweak the tune, send you a file back, you upload it and go......instead of shipping PCM's back and forth

When did Allen get HPtuners? Last time I saw him in SA, he was using ls1edit. He said he had too much invested in the cable to switch.

Thats true because last year another friend of mine took his truck to get it tuned, and Allen tuned it with LS1 Edit, but this past friday he tuned the truck with HP Tuners.

I was thinking about this for a long time too about wether or not to get HPtuners, or pay for a tune. I just got my tune from allen, and I love it. He does a great job, and he gives free updates! I still plan on getting HPtuners later so that I can upload e-mail tunes from him, and so I can tweak it if I want. I am happy for now though.

Also, he tuned my truck on Sunday with HPtuners. I saw the cable, and the screen on the computer.

unredeemed, just have him ship one to you

I got a westers garage tune already. But would love a reputable tuner like the infamous "allen" to tune my truck.
